Comenzamos con 30 años de Oscuridad nominado al Goya al Mejor Documental, realizado con imagen real y animación (en la línea de Vals con Bashir, Ari Folman, 2008). El argumento: tras el final de la Guerra Civil, Manuel Cortés, antiguo alcalde de la localidad malagueña de Mijas, no tuvo ocasión de escapar de España. Tras un largo y peligroso camino de regreso a casa, consiguió llegar de noche a su hogar sin ser descubierto. Su mujer, Juliana, le advirtió de los numerosos fusilamientos que se estaban llevando a cabo en el pueblo. Ambos decidieron abrir un pequeño hueco en la pared donde Manuel podría esconderse. Manuel Cortés nunca pudo imaginar que aquel pequeño espacio tras la pared se convertiría en su cárcel particular durante 30 años. Es la historia de los llamados ‘topos de la posguerra’, que tuvieron que sacrificar una vida entera para huir de la represión.

We started with 30 years of darkness nominated to the Goya for best documentary, made with real image and animation (in the line of waltz with Bashir, Ari Folman, 2008). The argument: after the end of the Civil War, Manuel Cortes, former Mayor of the Malaga town of Mijas, had no chance to escape from Spain. After a long and dangerous way back home, he managed to reach home without being discovered at night. His wife, Juliana, warned him of the numerous executions which were carried out in the town. Both decided to open a small hole in the wall where Manuel could hide. Manuel Cortés could never have imagined that that small space behind the wall would become its particular prison for 30 years. It is the story of 'postwar topos', they had to sacrifice a life learns to escape repression.
