Destinos - An Introduction to Spanish Language and Culture

Destinos is an instructional video series in Spanish and English that is sometimes used by colleges and high school classrooms to help adult learners. 

There are a total of 52 thirty minute videos that take the viewer through the travels of Raquel, a lawyer, who was hired to find the first wife of a friend in this engaging and mysterious story. 

If you are looking for something more than audio as a way to learn Spanish, we recommend Destinos.  For beginners or those seeking help with speaking, listening, and comprehension skills in Spanish Destinos have much to offer. The videos are filmed in a Spanish soap opera style, and do a good job at immersing students in everyday situations with native speakers.   You will be exposed to the cultures, accents, and dialects of Mexico, Spain, Argentina, and Puerto Rico.  Destinos helps to provide the view with a basic understanding of Spanish and an appreciation of many Hispanic cultures.

If you do not understand a vocabulary term, click the word for more information as you read them.  After you have watched the episode, complete the ‘Do you recall?’ section for each and leave a comment if you wish to share your experience.
